Cool. It looks kind of like a 3D sculpture carved from wood. Thanks for visiting my Etegami blog. :D

nice!

But picking up on the comment you left on my blog, strictly speaking he's not really a bird, is he? Can mystical creatures be classified by ornithologist? :-P Ah, he flies and he's beautiful and birds of a feather fly together especially when it comes to art! So let's call him a favorite and beautiful bird.

Good one! both the drawing and the idea. The phoenix is one of my favorite symbols. By the way, cool idea for Whimsical Wednesday.

I love these one liners you do, and the prompt of burning is a great one, I never would have thought of a phoenix. Looks great.

Love this, powerful bird and you show that in your sketch. Thanks for visiting my blog. I will check out whimsical Wednesday but it may be a few weeks before I can participate, we are in the middle of Christmas Tree harvest.

Very nice IF drawing. Your art overall is quite impressive!!

PS I see you signed up for Sunday Sketches but not finding your post for it that mentions your sketch or SS. Am I missing something? :)
